Sam

Sam, is a six year old bunny with a lot of questions, curiosity and energy. Sam is the type of kid who learns through trial and error. If Sam wants to run somewhere, then that's Sam's next move.

Sam can't decide which friend is the "best friend" so all of them are equally Sam's best friend. That includes You.

Snap Gator

Snap, also six years old is often the voice of reason in his friend group. He tries to keep Sam from going too crazy in attempts to explore the world. As a big brother to Snip, Snap looks out for him, tries to keep him out of trouble and away from his homework.

Snap loves to play games, but isn't the biggest fan of playing rough. A tickle fight or a made up adventure is enough rough play for him.

He likes it when you come to play with him and Sam.

Snip Gator

At nearly three years old, Snip is, for now, the little tag-along with you, Sam, Snap and his friends. He doesn't mind though. He loves playing with Snap, Sam and the crew and getting into as many things as possible.

He enjoys eating everything, including Snap's homework. Snip hasn't met a food (or interesting looking paper) he doesn't like yet. Snip is also the only one to notice when Lucky Notso has a mishap.

He innocently thinks it's all funny and just giggles and waves at poor Lucky. Perhaps one day he'll tell his friends what's happening, but for now? Snip just sees it all as one big fun show!

Dash Springer

At six years old, Dash is always ready for adventure and fun wherever she goes!

As the adventurous one of the bunch, she's always ready play with her friends.

She enjoys playing soccer, running races, climbing whatever and wherever she can and snagging ice-cream with her friends.

Her parents moved from Australia to Oceanside when she was just a baby and ever since, she's been best friends with Sam and the others.

She enjoys seeing you with Sam whenever possible.

Kai Bushytail

Kai, like his friends, is six years old and he's the laughter king of the group.

Whenever something funny happens, Kai's laughter is heard. He enjoys reading joke books so he can tell new jokes to his friends.

He likes seeing You with Sam and hanging out together with You and the others. One of Kai's favorite activities is talking about how he's soon going to be a big brother

and getting lots of good advice about siblings from Dash and Snap who are already big siblings.

Whip Lash

Whip, aged six, is the cautious one of the group, the one who panics easily and gets excited even easier!

Her neck defies all logic and physics, and no one questions why. It just does it, exactly like her moms' necks do.

It's a Lash family trait. Still, Whip loves playing with you and all her friends! One of her favorite things to do IS get scared!

She enjoys things that scare her. She thinks they're lots of fun and very exciting!

Echo Flaps

Echo is the brave one! She's also a few months older than the others and just recently celebrated her seventh birthday!

Since she's a fruit bat, she joins the fun at night and looks forward to seeingYou and all her friends. Echo is used to the things that go bump in the night.

So, if there's a dark spooky place to explore, she goes in first, because for her and her excellent night vision, dark places are a cinch to handle!

This also means she likes to sneak up on animals at night and give them a little fright. It's all in good fun though.

Lucky Notso

Lucky, at eight years old, lives up to his name by always being in the wrong place at the wrong time no matter where he goes.

Sam is often the accidental cause of many minor disasters in his life, but to be honest, Lucky has never been very lucky.

From licking ice cream off his cone at the first tongue swipe, to missing the school bus at least once a month, to stubbing his toe on things, Lucky's not a very fortunate dog.

However, he's also very optimistic about life and considers Sam a good friend! ...

A good friend best kept away from sharp objects and at a safe distance.

Stomp Smalls

Stomp is eight and with five older brothers at home, who all like to play rough and wrestle, that's how Stomp has learned to play too.

He doesn't mean to be clumsy or rough, he just forgets his own strength and doesn't quite realize that not everybody likes to play as roughly as he does!

Stomp enjoys building things only to knock them down. Block towers? CRASH! Sand castles? SQUISH!

He likes to play with Sam from time to time, but his very best friend is Lucky, even though Lucky might have...questionable luck.

Grim Flaps

Grim is Echo's grandpa and he's raising her alongside his wife, Gloom. Grim enjoys playing games with his granddaughter that his grandparents played with him, such as marbles, Gin Rummy, or Cribbage. He also enjoys seeing her playing with her friends and enjoys being around the other parents and swapping stories about the funny things their kids get up to and the fun ways they can annoy or play with their children.

He also likes spending time with his wife, Gloom while Echo is out playing. As a fruit bat, his very favorite fruit in the world is kiwi. All kinds of kiwi! If Gloom let him, he'd eat all the kiwi in the house! Echo calls him Gramps.

Gloom Flaps

Gloom loves making homemade ice cream with Echo using the ice cream maker Chomp bought her after the old one broke from being used so much. She loves her granddaughter very much and though she and Grim bicker like the old married couple they are, they also love one another as much as two creatures can. She likes sitting in front of the fire with Echo and sipping hot chocolate while Echo tells her all about her day.

When she's not doing that, Gloom is knitting scarves and hats and other such things for others to wear and makes a rather good business of it! Many animals just give her lovely food in exchange, thoiugh. She most enjoys eating pineapple! Echo calls her Granny.

Officer James Murphy

Officer James Murphy is the chief of police in Oceanside and he's a good boy! He watches out for the neighborhood kids, always carries a first aid kit decked out with all kinds of things to help the injured. There's not much crime in Oceanside, so most of his days on the force are spent making sure everyone stays safe and no one breaks the rules!

When he got married to Chief Blaze Smokey, Blaze also brought along his son Sushi. Now, James already had a son of his own! A baby dragon he adopted and is raising. This blended family is perfectly happy with each keeping their own last names. You can find James playing with a flying disk or a good old fashioned tennis ball on his days off.

He's a fantastic step-dad to Sushi and often takes him fishing and camping. Sometimes it's just the two of them, and sometimes it's with the whole family!

Chief Blaze Smokey

Blaze is a very dedicated and hard-working firefighter, brave and loyal! He responds to fires and emergencies just like any good firefighter does! Having a new son in the form of a dragon however, comes with certain risks. He loves little Theodore just as much as he loves his son, Sushi. He just makes sure to keep a fire extinguisher close to paw whenever Teddy has the hiccups.

When Blaze isn't on duty, he loves taking Sushi to the arcade to play with him and collect points and tickets to turn in for wonderful prizes! He also likes taking Teddy to the local daycare to play with other babies his age and he loves taking pictures of every single moment he can. When he isn't hanging out with his sons or with his husband, he's spending time with the other adults and grilling outdoors. Everyone loves his honey-glazed spicy, grilled salmon.

Miles Chilbert

As a chameleon, it seems funny that a cold blooded lizard would run an ice cream shop! However, that's been Miles' dream since he was a little boy making ice cream with his dad. He opened his own ice cream store and called it "Chameleon Creamery". Since a chameleon's eyes can move independently from each other, Miles can literally keep one eye on his job and the other on his customers!

His whippy, sticky, long tongue is often used to grab things from across the room or to use as a third arm. He enjoys coming up with wonderful ice cream flavors that other creatures in Oceanside can enjoy! Some, though, are meant for a certain kind of customer. Turtles and hippos can enjoy Swamp Grass ice cream, though you wouldn't catch Sam trying it!

Quincey Papa Bear Baguette

Everyone in town calls him Papa Bear, from the kids in Oceanside, to Echo's grandparents. He's big and powerful, but very gentle and only uses his strength when he must. He loves his bakery, "Goldilocks' Bakery" and the slogan for said bakery is "Where every treat is just right".

When Papa Bear isn't baking or coming up with new recipes for every creature in town, he enjoys going bowling with Chomp, Bobo, Momo, and his best friend Miles. Together their team is "The Pinheads." and they have bowling shirts and everything.

Robin Clawford

Robin has been a bus driver for the past 20 years and while they love their job, Robin is looking forward to retirement and taking up their new job of managing the bowling alley, "Ten Pins Lanes." It's not that Robin doesn't like children, they do, very much. It's just that after 20 years of driving the same bus, Robin felt like a change was in order. Robin has always liked bowling and has even won several championships and awards, so it's only logical that Robin switches to such a job.

Besides, Robin believes a bowling alley will be a lot less chaotic and loud than a bus full of school-aged children.

Louisa Spitz

Louisa has taught at Oceanside Elementary for the past 30 year. There's nothing she hasn't seen and no type of child she hasn't taught. She loves being a teacher and enjoys teaching the first grade. One of her favorite things to do when she isn't teaching, is curling up with a good romance book and sipping jasmine tea. She also loves to take long bubble baths and walk along the beach at night.

During the day when she's teaching, she's very kind and sweet toward the children and is always willing to slow down and help her students learn. If they fail a test, it's okay. Failure is a part of life. She will go over the mistakes the student made and give them another chance at the test. For in her mind, school should be about learning and not about taking a test one time and that's it.

Sarahgon

Sarahgon is an adult dragon with a big imagination. She loves to read, write, play video games, collect plushies and build with connecting building blocks. She has kept many of her old plushies from when she was a young dragon. They are very special to her, though she also adds to her collection with new plushies from video games or if a certain one just looked too good to pass up.

She also enjoys knitting and wearing odd hats, but her favorite hats by far, are her character pin hats. She has two now and can't decide which is her favorite. She enjoys listening to all kinds of music and believes that everyone should, "Dare to be different".

Nozzles Slithers

Nozzles Slithers is a very happy young snake and he's six and a half years old. Together with his twin brother, Simon, Nozzles loves exploring Oceanside. The Slithers Brothers get around town in their Slithers Brothers ways. Going downhill? They bite their tails to form a ring and roll all the way down, giggling and squealing as they go. Going uphill? They form into springs and bounce on their tails like pogo-sticks. When they aren't playing together, they're playing with their friends or doing their own thing.

Nozzles loves a good swim at the lake or in the community pool. A friendly snake, Nozzles enjoys playing games with as many kids as possible and sometimes, he and Simon are often played with as props. A sword fight? The brother get pads and helmets and the kids swing away with Simon and Nozzles making "swing!' '"swish!" "clang!" and "clash!" sounds.

Simon Slithers

Simon loves the playground, the swings, the seesaw, the slide, the springy ride-ons-you name it, Simon likes it! Nothing stops Simon from having fun or moving in his own "Simon way" alongside his twin Nozzles. Simon also enjoys reading and then acting out what he read and taking on different roles with his friends. He wants to be an actor when he grows up.

Like Nozzles, Simon also enjoys playing with his friends as a prop. Don't have a jump rope? Use the Slithers Brothers. One with bite the other's tail and hang on tight as together, they're used as a jump rope! Or even a bat! (with proper padding and helmets of course!) When Simon is doing those things, he enjoys taking a quick nap in the sun on his favorite rock at the park.

Scout Springer

Scout is Dash's baby sister, and though she's young, she's a very fast little kangaroo! So far, her hobbies include playing with her blocks and knocking them down, blowing bubbles, and going to daycare, where she sees the other babies who are her friends.

She likes to play with Dash and explore her toys. She also really loves bath time and making great big splashes and squealing. Her favorite tub toy is her little tug boat that floats around, blows bubbles, lights up and plays music. Her favorite food right now is banana chips and her favorite thing to drink is chocolate milk.

Theodore Teddy Murphy

Teddy is a baby dragon and when you're a firefighter dog living with a baby dragon, you always want to have fire safety measures in place. Teddy might sneeze and set the couch on fire! Or burp and suddenly, the curtains are flaming! He doesn't mean to do these things; he's just a baby! But, be that as it may, James and Blaze have their paws full with this little one!

He likes playing with his new brother, Sushi and the other babies around town. He has very little control over his flames for now, but he'll learn. At the moment, he's a literal walking fire hazard. His family loves him anyway, scales and all. Even if he did once burp and set Sushi's homework on fire. Try explaining that to your teacher the next morning.

Sushi Smokey

At six years and nine months old, Sushi is a happy little cat. He likes having a baby brother and thinks James is a pretty cool stepdad. He enjoys going fishing, either with friends, by himself or with James. He also likes to go camping and exploring. His dad, Blaze, will take him to the arcade and Sushi is saving up his tickets on his card, for a very big prize indeed. He wants the latest console so he can play video games on it.

He also likes to talk with Snap and the other kids with siblings about his new little brother and he and Snap laugh about the things their baby brothers have done to their homework. Sushi looks forward to seeing Teddy grow up and to hopefully stop setting his homework on fire. Dad had to come down himself and explain to Ms. Spitz that Teddy really DID set Sushi's homework on fire. This was proven without a doubt when Teddy hiccuped and melted Ms. Spitz's pencil holder.

Twila Woods

Twila is an adventurous little baby flying horse (better known as a pegasus.) Twila likes to play with balls and her twin sister Nova. She also likes her older twin sisters Starla and Aurora. Twila and Nova can already fly, which surprises her parents and provided a whole new challenge of not only baby proofing the floor, but the ceiling as well. When Twila isn't playing with a ball or her sisters, she's playing with the other babies in town. Pat-a-cake is her favorite game so far.

Nova Woods

Nova is a young flying unicorn (also known as an alicorn), and she loves getting into mischief with her twin sister, Twila. Nova is bolder and braver than her sister so far. She's the first to try new experiences and new foods. She's also the one who first figured out how to fly, which made her sister jealous and inspired her to start flying early, too. Nova's favorite toy so far is her teddy bear. It used to belong to her older sister, Starla, but now it's hers.

Starla Woods

At eight years old, Starla likes having both a twin sister and twin baby sisters. She likes to go play at the arcade with Sushi and Aurora. She also likes to play on the beach and build sandcastles and roast hotdogs and toast marshmallows over a fire on the beach at night with her friends. She couldn't be happier with three sisters, there's always someone in the house to play with or talk to.

Aurora Woods

Aurora uses a cochlear implant. It's just part of who she is. She likes to play with bubbles and loves it when they're really, really big! She also likes to go fishing with Sushi and races with Max Howler. She and Max are the best of friends. At the end of the day, she likes to sit in her room and talk with Starla about everything the other did. She also likes playing with her baby sisters and watching them fly.
